Powering ahead: Australia leading the world in renewable energy build rates

Matthew Stocks, Ken Baldwin and Andrew Blakers have coauthored a report on global and country specific renewable energy build rates, which finds that Australia is leading the world in the installation of renewable electricity capacity. The Australian per capita rate is 2.5 times the next best (Germany). This is 4-5 times faster per capita than the European Union, Japan, the USA or China and ten times faster than the world average.
